I’m no lawyer, but it seems to me that signs of this sort could be misconstrued as “premeditation” under certain circumstances.
Kind of like putting a “beware of dog” sign up can prove that you knew your dog would chew little johnnies arm off...

I believe any kind of sign gives a heads up to the thieves and could backfire in a bad way. Especially if they’ve scoped out the place. Beware of dog? How about poisoned meat thrown over the fence...or a brick? Even worse, they know you have no dog.
Got firearms? Everyone knows and they can bring their own.
I’d prefer criminals to be in the dark about what I may or may not have for home/self defense. I just don’t believe a sign is a deterrent. I don’t even advertise about burglar alarms. Let them be surprised!
