Seems reasonable. I’ll certainly avoid it as well as a lot of democrat controlled cities for the near future.

KY cities are fine. I carry in my car and they have liberal self defense laws.

Gov Abbott has come up with some great ideas recently for the Texas cities who defund their respective police departments. Ideas that he will propose to the legislature when they reconvene in January.

1. Any Texas city that defunds its police can no longer raise property taxes and the current tax rate becomes frozen.

2. Any Texas city that defunds its police will forever lose their annexation powers, & any areas and any residents that have ever been annexed by that city in the past will have the power to dis-annex them from the city.

These two proposals will hurt cities like Austin hard, financially.

Our Governor is not holding back. He has put these liberal enclaves on notice.

If they defund the police, the State of Texas will remove these cities annexing powers. Then the annexed portions will be able to address the State for supplied LE and the bill goes back to these liberal shitholes.

He is not going to stand for what has been happening in other parts of the country and allow the citizenry void of protection by these liberal hypocrites.

He is asking for the silent majority to stand up and sign the “back the blue” pledge

It certainly was telling. Abbott's not messing around at all, but Austin leadership (if they can be called 'leaders') are balking and carrying on about what a distraction, show, etc... it all is.

They know the jig is up and I'm just thrilled to see this in motion. Now if Abbott would just open the state up and get rid if the mask nonsense....

Maybe the Austin city council will try to outlaw such billboards!

They can send some of the laid off cops to enforce it...

Beyond stupid

Can they cut off city officials’ credit cards and expense accounts?

Those numbers can be quite astounding.

That would be wonderful. Especially since the Mayor and council just love traveling overseas on taxpayers dime! China (for who knows what) and annual bicycle excursions to the Netherlands.

Yes. Unfortunately. The British press is at least as gutter-crawling as the US press. But they have little in the way of back off on reporting on the USA. We get more honest reporting from the Brit press than ours. Though “honest” may not be the correct term to use.

That item is revolutionary. It has appeal beyond its ties to police funding.

A great way to bring big cities to heel.

What are Austin’s property rates, now?
