In other words, you can’t tell the difference between a new Disney movie and a NBA game. LOL
And hides really bad acne under a lot of makeup!
The only Disney movie I watch is Johnny Tremain.
You should consider getting them “Johnny Tremain.” It was filmed in 1957 when Walt was still alive. And it’s Patriotic.
The only Disney characters I like are the characters in the Scrooge McDuck portion of the Disney universe. And those were either cultivated or created by Carl Barks, and the House of Disney didn’t have that much to do with it.
I’d rather watch Gus: The Field Goal Kicking Mule.
A classic.
He should have got the Best Actor Award.
I’d balk at 0.
Discovered I still owned some Disney stock in an inherited trust account. Sold it today. As soon as a company goes woke, I sell their stock. Will be going over every investment tonight to ensure I have no “woke” companies.
An interesting and principled stance on why live-action “Mulan” should be boycotted. Similar to my great-grandparents boycotting “The Godfather” because they thought it would turn back the clock on acceptance of Italian Americans. I personally love “The Godfather” but I can see how it contributed to stereotypes of Italians.
I agree; it’s the immigrants who came from repressive countries that appreciate our American freedoms the most while so many native-born Americans take them for granted, to the peril of our Republic.
saw it last night as daughter rented it... it was just ok...the heart and depth of the characters was lacking. The original was far far better. The original is actually one of my favorite Disney movies...very funny with Eddie Murphy and really heartfelt.
Lol.. I think about that one every once in awhile (Gus).
Wasn’t Kurt Russel in that one too?
Unlike many so-called conservatives, I have not been to a movie theater since 1999. I refuse to to support these commie morons.
You could have made an exception regarding Dinesh D’Souza. He actually helps the conservative cause and not the Hollywood cause. Plus Hillary the Movie by Citizens United as well. I’m pretty sure communists won’t accept their check. You could also go with Unplanned, that wasn’t even made by Hollywood because of it being anti-Abortion.
The current management does, certainly. Disney under Walt didn’t, though. And even Eisner was reserved to some degree regarding pushing leftism outright especially compared to Iger (probably the closest it got to that was with THOND, and considering Eisner backpedaled, he clearly learned his lesson after that. Note that I’m not counting BATB since it being woke was more due to Katzenberg than due to Eisner, and if anything, Eisner liked Jim Cox’s rendition and wanted that made instead.).
Though I have to admit, even Iger’s a bit more restrained compared to PBS, especially Arthur. You think Disney’s bad with woke BLM priviledged suckage? Arthur’s even worse based on a recent webisode where they openly promote BLM.
“First, while the basic storyline remains the same in this movie version, Disney has significantly altered the emphasis of Mulans story, from a universal value of self-determination to fidelity to family, and more importantly, unwavering loyalty to the state.”
In all fairness, fidelity to family was also present in the original as well. Let’s not forget that a large part of the reason why Mulan illegally joined the military was specifically to prevent her father from becoming a redshirt when he received his conscription notice.
But yeah, fidelity to the state was NEVER part of the original. Mulan literally breaking the law by even joining the military and refusing a job from the Emperor in the ending should have been a big hint it wasn’t that.
Jeez, don’t remind me. This is getting WAY out of control as it is.
Something tells me Ariel’s reaction to the whole situation would be more similar to Jack Krauser’s reaction to Leon being chosen over himself for Anti-Virus Protocol 7600 in Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles: https://youtu.be/r-DAbu3mXLg?t=68
LOL, total nerd reference.
Nah, you're alright.
