I found that ergotheinine, found in certain mushrooms, does about the same thing, but the mitochondria has a way to regenerate that antioxidant molecule for up to a month, while this only lasts a day or two before it needs to be replaced in the mitochondria. Still, it appears to work.
This paragraph is not quiet clear to me. Is this the proper interpretation of that paragarph:
I found that ergotheinine, found in certain mushrooms, does about the same thing, but the mitochondria has a way to regenerate the ergotheinine molecule for up to a month, while MitoQ only lasts a day or two before it needs to be replaced in the mitochondria. Still, it appears to work.
You can buy ergotheinine at swanson’s. why not just do that—rather than buy mushrooms? seems cheaper.
Btw did you find any positive results?
Yes, I intended to say MitoQ lasts two days and Ergothioneine lasts nearly a month.
Can you provide a link at Swansons Vitamins for Ergothioneine? This one I list below is from Amazon and its $90.
Supersmart - L-Ergothioneine 5 mg - Natural Mushroom Extract - Anti Inflammatory & Antioxidant Supplement - Protect Mitochondria | Non-GMO & Gluten Free - 30 Vegetarian Capsules
Thanks!
We did well with the MitoQ for that time and we continue to eat mushrooms a lot.
Neither of us can point to any negatives, but we cant say some ailment seemed cured, either. On paper, it all makes sense. We have a good amount of energy and are happy.
I can say we gave MitoQ with PQQ, nicotinamide riboside and other useful supplements to a relative with a 2 inch tumor on a CT scan and in the course of the 1.5 months to the actual surgery, his tumor disappeared on the CT scan by the day before surgery. So, the doctors flipped out and couldnt understand what had happened. They wound up doing multiple tests and found nothing. In fact, he had serious liver disease on top of the liver tumor, and that has been largely repaired.
