Actually he is just an average pilot. Landing on flat water does not require any special skills beyond what's taught in basic pilot training. (Choppy seas are a completely different scenario where a plane has a high likelihood of breaking up on contact. Not so on flat water. Risk is only marginally higher than landing on a runway). But now that the media has turned him into a celeb for their own ratings and he's had a movie made about him, this idiot thinks he's on par with Hollywood celebs and his opinion matters. It doesn't.

While I generally agree with you, I must say when it happened so suddenly after taking off in a huge town, it’s pretty harrowing. Would be another thing if it happened much later in flight.
