I think you missed my point. People in Mississippi may be football fans, but they don’t care about the Big Ten. I’m questioning how effective this message is going to be.

They put all kinds of whacky stuff up in MS. one was something to the effect that the hospitality state would give you a hospitality ticket for speeding.
I wish i could edit - I think the point for them is making something a bit off the wall likely improves retention/attention to it. I remember some of them so there is something to that, i guess. I don’t want a hospitality ticket from the highway patrol!
It’s just trash talk. You’re correct the Mississippi football fans don’t care about the Big Ten but when Ohio State starts chest thumping, watch out. There are 11 states with SEC teams but only 3 have two in each state. Mississippi is one of them.
