A woman running to be the "first black mayor" of Sumter, South Carolina, has been arrested and charged with faking her own kidnapping and beating to garner sympathy for her political campaign.
Sabrina Belcher, 29, perpetrated the alleged hoax via Facebook Live with her accomplice 34-year-old Christopher Eaddy, according to South Carolinian police.
“This was simply an effort to create disorder and discontent in our community for personal gain,” Sumter Police Chief Russell Roark said. “As a result, a valuable number of resources, including personnel, man-hours of the police department as well as local medical professionals, were wasted based on false information.”
Detectives said the claims made by Belcher were found to be false after officials uncovered communication between her and Eaddy days before the video was released.
“They staged a kidnapping and beating in order to garner publicity, sympathy and votes in the November election,” police officials added.
Belcher released a rap video in June titled "Pray for Me," where the Democratic candidate sang, "Before I step out the door, I let my momma know, I got plans to make it home." She added that if she "died in police custody," she was "not ready to go,"...

I knew a guy who wanted people to believe he was a money collector for the mafia and he cut his own arm with a knife and came into the pizzeria and showed us.
But it was so neat and thin and fine and not deep at all that it was obvious what he did. He carried a knife to look tough which also made it pretty obvious.
Real knife slashes are long and deep.
You don’t hold it out straight. You hold it sideways and swipe because it gives you more distance and you can do very bad damage
But the only person he ever used it on was himself :)
I sympathize with people who have Alzheimer’s and their families.

Maybe Biden is somewhat effected by that. I have sympathy with people who are effected by that.
The thing I don't sympathize with politicians is their ambition and willingness to do anything to service that.

What was this guy's goal? I assume if the mafia finds out you've been pretending to be one of their collectors, they won't give you a medal for that?

Everyone knew each other and guys from the same Family hung together.
He was not a collector for the ##### Family.
If it had been a messy would I would have at least thought he got into some kind of altercation.
But it wasn’t even that.
A lot of guys tried to get a name doing stupid things.
Not as blatantly stupid as this guy...but close.
A bunch of younger guys told me the sprayed different vending machines with salt water and poured it into them and cans and money came out.
I had a vending machine route. That’s a story. It’s been a while since the machines were redesigned so that wouldn’t work.
It might damage circuits and cost money for repair, but you’re not getting anything out of it.
Some other guys told me they had drilled open 3 machines during the night.
First of all, without the right drill and bit they would get nowhere even if they tried for an hour.
Second, when I asked them where the coin mechs were, (the part that is worth 600 bucks and gives you change for you dollar) they said they didn’t take them, just dollars in it.
NO ONE would leave the coin mech behind.
It’s an easy 250 cash on the black market.

At GM Pontiac “workers” on the night shift would just smash the glass and my buddy who would service the machines would come into a completely looted/empty machine of every snack, every package of gum or mints. History repeating on larger scale with more at stake today.
I’ll give women of this demographic one thing-they have a knack for outrageous dramatic lies that instantly brings them under suspicion leading to conviction. Also, rapping against authority is what I look for in a civic leader.

You had to make it understood that you would go to the ends of the earth to find who broke into your machine and the price would be a bad one.
If people knew your were part of a Family, they would rarely attempt to break in.
That policy works in bowling allies and repair garages and taxi stands, strip joints, etc. in a mobbed up place like NYC
But you can’t go around threatening folks at Pontiac!!! Or Morgan Stanley :)
