“I’ve been thinking about masks a lot lately. Two things have be churning in my head. They say that you wear a mask to protect other people. Sort of like a “it takes a village” kind of thing. The logic talks about the mask stopping the droplets when you cough or sneeze. Certainly you’ve seen the graphics of a mask magnified compared to the virus, or the chain link fence comparison. Which the maskers counter with the flea hitches a ride on the dog, which is stopped by the fence.
And I understand that. But they also talk about how this can spread if you are asymptomatic. Let’s think about that for a minute. If you have Covid but are asymptomatic, then you are not coughing and sneezing. So the virus is not “riding on a dog” to be blocked by the mask. It just goes right through the mask, like the magnified graphics of masks show.
Therefore, wearing a mask when you have symptoms makes sense. But wearing a mask when you don’t have symptoms is worthless - the same as no mask at all.
The second thing deals with viral load. One of the complaints of masks is the fogging up of glasses. Why is that? Because the moisture (that is carrying the virus, by the way) is concentrated and goes out at lower velocity around the mask.
Doesn’t this also create little pockets of virus-laden air? And therefore walking through these concentrated pockets increase your chance of hitting the optimal viral load to catch this?
Wouldn’t it be better if this cloud of viruses are spread about by normal, maskless breathing?

studies show there is little to no viral particles in the breath of an asymptomatic person. Even if masks do something (which they don’t) the whole reason to have symptomatic people wear one is a sham
and then discard the tissue you cough in not continue to wear it on your dave all day...

How do we know the individual was asymptomatic? And did those in the choir have any other contacts?
Many places have been shut down longer than 6 weeks and have u i dream mask orders. Yet the virus continues to spread. It’s what a virus does

When this first started I was seeing many more infected and very ill patients. I was told a simple paper procedure mask was all I needed and that is all that was supplied other than a shared face shield added to it when seeing covid patients. Now that numbers have fallen way off and those we are seeing aren’t nearly as ill my employer has decided everyone must mask in all places at work even aside from patient contact. Fauci opens his fat mouth and now my employers require goggles in all common areas as well. If you follow the logic of the fearpers since we are seeing less people that are less ill the plain mask worn only to see covid patients did the trick to reduce infections. So why am I wearing all this garbage now???? site all about control. Nothing else

There’s a guy out there somewhere (wish I could remember where I saw it) making/selling masks that say, “this mask is useless”. Wish I was brave enough to buy and wear one. As it is, I don’t want a bunch of Karens losing their sh*t.

Vietnam, Thailand, Slovakia, Greece, Poland, Portugal - followed the rules strictly - masks in enclosed spaces, social distancing - for 6 weeks and the virus numbers plummetted and are far lower than countries that did NOT follow the mask rule strictly.
The individual was asymptomatic.
