Coronavirus deaths are dropping nationally. It’s all about applying the pressure to politicians now. They often don’t change policies instantly - pressure on them now to end the lockdowns will pay off down the road.

Great to see recreational basketball and baseball ramping up where I live in the suburbs of Houston. Swimming, football and water polo are still not competing. Are youth sports competing where you are or are they still too shut down?

I know it is not a principled stand that I am taking by doing this but wearing a mask and just keeping it below the nose is tolerable. I breathe through my nose anyway and I have only had one person tell me my mask was on wrong so far (I 100% ignored what that person said). This technique is good enough to get me into church, kids’ sports, and the very rare shopping that I do.

Of course, I care over the long term. But there’s no way I’d trust a vaccine that has been “fast tracked” for this particular scamdemic. Logic: If ANY drug could be “fast tracked”, EVERY drug would be fast tracked. It’s in big pharma’s best financial interest to get drugs to the public ASAP and let the money start rolling in. If it could be done safely, it would have been done for decades.
For the short term, I’m OK with idiots believing it’ll work, taking a big, safe sigh, and getting back to normal. The idiots are setting the narrative for the whole country, and I have a problem with that. When they give the signal that they’re OK, then we’ll benefit from that.
We already have something better than a vaccine, i.e., HCQ used as a prophylactic. But as long as the MSM is using this to sabotage Trump, it isn’t available to those who need it.

This isn’t a magical disease. It’s a disease. It should not be worshiped. People expiring from WuFlu aren’t “deader” than those dying from cancer, flu, etc. The people here who are obsessed with WuFlu would be more effective becoming entrenched in anti-abortion causes, if saving human lives is the issue.
It’s a trend analysis - 1% death rate from the flu is calculated from the SEASON and as more people get infected (especially those not in nursing homes) the rate has been trending lower which is bringing it down from 6% to now 3% and continues to fall. For my state we’ve had an increase of infected to almost 1000 a day but the death rate has fallen to under a dozen a day and as low as 1. Now this changes a little over time as some deaths are back dated but the trend line is still falling to zero as infection rates increase.
If this virus were as deadly as it’s hyped and claimed we be seeing a spike in deaths as well.
Reinfection is not conclusively proven - as opposed to “it was dormant for a while”.
Right now, looking at South Korea, Taiwan, etc. it seems that there is no reinfection.
The virus is also not highly deadly like ebola.
The way to kill it is either everyone get infected at once - a theoretical impossibility and also one that would tax the hospital system — OR, isolate, reduce the spread and let it die due to no hosts.
That’s why the masks - reduce the chances of spread.
Studies indicate that the number of virii “absorbed” at a time also is a factor - not conclusively proven, but indicative. So the mask an asymptomatic person wears reduces the spread and the person wearing a mask (say the new infected) has a better chance of his own body fighting this off.
I really give you Vietnam, Slovakia, even much of East-Central Europe as proof that if you take 6 weeks of strict masks, quarantine, etc. it works and the economy can get back roaring after the 6 weeks.
There have been no substantive mutations observed in SARS-CoV-2 to date. All indications are that it is genetically stable. Further, there has been no evidence to suggest a single person anywhere on Earth who was infected with SARS-CoV-2 has been later reinfected. Influenza has multiple strains that rapidly mutate constantly. People become reinfected with Influenza as a result of that. That has NEVER been observed with SARS-CoV-2. Your point is invalid, completely baseless, and without a shred of evidence.
In fact, if your point had any truth to it, that might actually be scary. The idea that the virus is mutating so rapidly that the same people are being infected repeatedly in just a 6 month period? That's terrifying. We'd never have a vaccine against something moving that fast and we'd never get out of this cycle of lockdowns, masks, social distancing, etc. It's genetically stable. All indications are that once you've had it, you have immunity. All indications are that a vaccine will wipe this disease off the face of the Earth. Stop spreading misinformation and fear.

The reality of COVID-19 isn't that scary, but if you preach that it's all sunshine and unicorns and convince people of that, then when reality comes crashing down it drives MORE fear and panic. Explain the reality of the situation and develop a sensible and appropriate response that deal with that reality in a rational way and you take the fear out of it. That's what Sweden did. This idea of just pretending nothing is happening is just as absurd as shutting down the entire economy and demanding everyone stay in perpetual lockdown.

You do see a rise in deaths in any place where there’s a rise in cases; it’s simply offset by ~15 days. You can see it in Texas, Florida, and so on. You can see it nationally as well. I don’t have a crystal ball; just follow the trend lines. Once you offset the daily new deaths averages by 15 days from the new cases averages, they align with one another.
Conversely, when cases level off, 15 days later so do deaths. When cases falls, 15 days later deaths do too. Cases are a leading indicator of what’s to come in terms of hospitalizations and deaths. Deaths are a lagging indicator of what already happened. It’s simply data that can be used to guide response for things like hospital staffing and supplies logistics. If cases are falling in one area but rising in another, shift supplies and personnel where practical to meet the needs in both places.
The CFR is falling, primarily because we’re identifying a lot more cases. The IFR has been stable for months now. It’s between 0.64% and 0.66%. I’ve yet to see a study since at least June, maybe late May that suggested an IFR outside that range. For now, that appears to be the reality. Our goal should be to slow the spread with reasonable measures that don’t tank the economy until we can end the disease with a safe and effective vaccine that President Trump should be announcing in the next couple months.
And if this virus were as deadly as it’s being hyped by the media and certain Democrat governors, we wouldn’t be having this conversation because we’d both be dead already. 0.64 - 0.66% isn’t great, but it’s no smallpox either.

Where exactly are you seeing a 7-day average trend of daily new cases rising and a 7-day average trend of daily new deaths falling when accounting for the 15 day offset?
Again, if you’re talking about the CFR, who cares? Unless that falls below the IFR of 0.64-0.66%, who cares? We already know the CFR is high. We’ve known that for months. That’s the nature of that metric; it will ALWAYS be higher than the actual fatality rate because there is not perfect testing.
Why wouldn’t you care if a vaccine is safe and effective? Should our goal not be to preserve human life? People are dying and if a vaccine saves lives, then GOOD! If HCQ+Zinc+Z-pack saves lives, then GOOD! If new treatments save lives, then GOOD!
Here is what I see as the problem. You both seem to really trust the pharma companies and vaccines. I don’t.

If you watch the documentary vaxxed, it shows how cdc manipulated data so this link would not be exposed as a cause of autism. You see these small children, usually boys, who are so engaged, so happy, so energetic, get one shot, and blam. They first get sick, and suffer from the side effects, and then, they never return. You know how POTUS has been mentioning the middlemen in the drug business here lately? Well, I’m pretty sure the middlemen getting rich are the same politico’s who made it possible that pharma co’s can’t be sued. Yes, that is right, they can’t be sued for a bad vaccine. Instead there is a vaxx court. The taxpayer picks up the tab. Gee, doesn’t this sound a little odd to you? We have quietly paid out billions.
As far as the numbers go, Who knows? I don’t trust anybody at this point to give us good information. And, if there were a body giving out accurate info, the only info I want is the count of those who have died, but were treating it with HCQ/zinc/zpack. If you are not going to take obvious measures to ensure your recovery, then you didn’t die of covid, but rather suicide.
One last thing Cronos. Is your pic at post 35 the way you think masks work? First off, it shows 10 microns going through the front of the mask. That’s not much of a mask unless it’s made of cheesecloth. I had to wear a mask for 35 years 40 hrs. a week. But, I worked in a clean room. If you are wearing one out in public, you may as well be wearing a petri dish on your face. In real life, surgical and clean room masks never come in contact with anything other than your freshly gloved hand. Putting on a mask, that you probably already wore to home depot, and then touching your shopping cart, produce, your children and then constantly touching your mask, lets just say, it’s covered in germs. Why would anyone want that up against their mouth and nose?
Bottom line is this is only about control. I’m sure your intentions are honorable, but you are throwing in with the baddies.

No one I came into contact with before or after have contracted even a common cold.
My wife, who slept right next to me, hacking and coughing in the night, never contracted it.
She did complain about the Vapo-rub, tho.
I was exposed to our counties “patient zero” and was among 8 people who were notified of his positive result.
None of them contracted the virus.
I did.
Before developing symptoms, I went to work everyday for over a week exposing, at least 15 co-workers to my supposed “asymptomatic spread”.
None of them contracted the COVID.
I went to church and no one contracted the virus...TO THIS DAY, considering all their exposures!
AAMOF, 5 of mi co-workers were tested within 2 weeks after I became symptomatic and their results were negative.
I have been in close, enclosed contact with countless others since recovery and none have contracted the virus.
Many of these have been tested multiple times.
I have yet to hear of a positive result.
And, dude...I have CKD, hypertension and typeII diabetes.
Oh, I am also type O-pos blood. Decades ago, I was diagnosed with acute Vitamin B deficiency and take mega-doses of Multi-B everyday.
This is all anecdotal and not a true scientific study.

This is also my most-hated thing about the “politics” of the pandemic. Mask-Porners get to pretend I’m sick and dangerous when I’m not.
They don’t know I’m sick, but say I have to behave as if I am sick. And, Catch-22, I can’t prove I’m well, even if I test negative, I still fall under all the restrictions and I could be sick the day after the test anyway.
And as long as it is claimed that asymptomatic people can transmit, how does this ever end? We could all be asymptomatic and sick at the same time.
I should have added that these assholes think it’s everyone else’s job to keep them well. They can be obese and ignore their health all their lives but now that’s a problem for THEM so everyone else has to suffer because they wouldn’t take care of themselves for decades.

I asked him about real case numbers. He said: “To estimate the actual number of cases, take whatever is being reported and multiply by ten.”
He also said they have discovered this virus has been in America since October, and maybe September.
My cousin the bio-scientist working in the field agrees. Asymptomatic people don’t have enough viral load to spread. If they did, they would have symptoms.
