Pac-12 Ready to Secure a Billion Dollars' Worth of Loans if Football Season is Canceled

The Pac-12 is planning a loan program that would allow each of the conference's member schools to receive up to $83 million. The loans, which could total nearly a billion dollars, would be available in the event that the college football season is canceled. Here's what an anonymous source told the Mercury News:

Just say No.

Colleges do NOT need sports programs.

But colleges do not need liberal professors who teach that mathematics is a cultural construct either.

Are they putting up Oregon State as collateral? If they default will it be down to the Pac 11?

Washington State has lots of financial problems too....

I really think football will be dropped at a ton of colleges due to the fact that it is so costly....

we'll be down to 20 colleges with competitive teams....should be fun....NOT!

If they cancel the season, on the plus side, the PAC12 will still have the same chance as they usually do to get a team in the playoffs.

Sports is DEAD. I am one of the holdouts and I now have zero care for it all. I feel bad for kids who are getting screwed.
