Radio City Music Hall has canceled the Rockettes' Christmas Spectacular for the first time in 87 years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
MSG Entertainment, which owns the Radio City Music Hall in New York City, announced Tuesday its decision to close the curtain on the 2020 festive show as infections of the deadly virus continue to surge across America.

More like deadly BLM then deadly Covid.
NYC is NOT a safe city at the moment
Well, we see people planning big events expect the virus restrictions to be with us for some time to come. Here we are in early August and a Chrismastime event is canceled. A few weeks ago, the Rose Parade on New Years Day was canceled.
Will we ever get back to “normal”? You have to wonder.
Next they will not put a tree up in Rockefeller Center.
I’ve never seen it live, but have watched their CDs. Those gals are amazing!
The Living Nativity is really something and I like ‘The Parade of the Wooden Soldiers’ when they all fall into one another at the end.

Every public entertainment event will become a source for the protestors and rioters when they start back up. Pro sports are going without fans, and they still have their BLM narrative. Even some NHL players started kneeling recently. The various entertainment award shows, already unwatchable, would become even worse.
I got to see this show a few years ago. It had been on my bucket list since I was a kid. In 2016 when we were visiting family near NYC at Christmas, my husband surprised me with tickets. The show was amazing!
Since then, I have been wanting to take my two sisters to see the show. I have been working on convincing them that we could do this together. Those dreams are shattered now. I dont think NYC or Broadway shows or any live shows will make a comeback for the next few years.
This year, if they do, it will be lit up. And not in a good way.
The Rockettes cant socially distance and perform their routines. Its over.
RuhRoh. Getting series now!
Wow. My ballet and tap teacher was a retired Rockette.
So I don’t have to watch gays kissing in the Macy’s parade ? Where’s the down side ?
This doesn’t bode well for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade.
That will be a tragedy.
My wife and i have attended this show for 23 consecutive years- since the first year we were dating. We took my daughter when she was 1YO. Very sad to see this, though not unexpected.
But hey- its about flattening the curve- right??
I truly hope by the state of NY and NYC goes bankrupt. The best thing that could happen.
They brought it on the road to Pittsburgh once. Outstanding show! The Living Nativity was awesome. The energy those ladies had was amazing.
Start preparing your kids now for the removal of Santa. Covid and the social distancing ..... Sorry kid, if Santa comes, you will die.....
Show runs nov thru jan.
