Thanks for the correction. My experience in the tech industry in California was that 100% of H1-B workers were Indian.
I did a lot of work with TVA in my career. It is very dismaying to find even them afflicted by the short-sighted cost-cutting of using H1-B workers.
In the long transcript, one TVA guy who manages dams and hydrology said he has 20 years experience and was forced to train an Indian guy who couldn’t even spell “water.”
Indians on Twitter, Reddit and other places are absolutely livid. They said they want the Indian government and Indian tech firms to donate heavily to the Biden campaign that promises not only to lift the ban, but allow S.386 to become law through EO.
For those that don’t know, S.386 bans ALL foreigner immigration from the US for a period of 12 - 16 years, allowing only Indians to obtain Green Cards. (All the H1B scum that cheated the system for decades)
