When wife and I were looking for a new church; I dressed like this to visit them.
The church we finally stayed with is quite casual.
I told the SS group we entered the first day that I felt kinda OVER dressed!
Why did we stay there?
It was the one that preached the most bible and had a quite active outreach.
Yeah; it's got the newstyle music and lyrics and I sorely miss the old hymns; but I'm one of the 99.
Them lost sheep have no clue what us old coots were brought up with.

Probably the same incident; just written from the viewpoint of two differing Gospel writers.
My pastor preaches roughly one to two hours every week...way longer than ANY commercial. :-)

Being a Christian - a CHRISTian - takes only one thing: receiving Jesus Christ into your heart.
If you haven’t done that yet, I encourage you to do it - your life will never be the same and you’ll find a happiness you never knew before.
There are not a lot who would disagree with you about organized religion.
However, Scripture is true and the truth and having a relationship with Christ is a far cry from becoming *religious*.
After awhile. it gets old and comes across as attention whoring. Jesus himself said "Go thy way and sin no more." He didn't say "Keep being an attention whore while the 99 fend for themselves."
Personally I don’t attend churches that sing “Jesus is my boyfriend” songs.

Thanks for putting a name to those sorts of songs. Downright creepy. In Catholicism, there was the same sort of strange devotion to Mary from some priests.
