A few hours before he died of gunshot wounds, Garret foster swaggered in this 45 second video clip. When asked about the weapon he is carrying, he says it's an AK 47. He says he started carrying it when his roommate got arrest and said, "Well they won't let us protest in the street anymore." It sounds like he may be saying that if the riots are shut down, the rioters will start carrying more conspicuous weapons.

There was a third party who fired shots as the car started to take off, also. Police detained/took custody the guy who shot the street thug and the 3rd party shooter, but released both.
It is nearly impossible to id a firearm by the audio collected on ordinary video.
It could be done if you have a sound signature to start with.
