Who were the greatest song writing duo's of all time?
Rimsky and Korsakov....no, wait....
Lennon/McCartney was more a trade name than a song writing duo. Only a few of their songs were really co-written. Still, I’d give them the edge over the others mentioned ... a slight edge, just because because.
Good pick, RIP Joe
Fanny J Crosby and W. Howard Doane were hard to beat.
“I Am Thine, O Lord (Draw Me Nearer)”—1875, music by W. Howard Doane
“Near the Cross”—1869, music by W. Howard Doane
“Pass Me Not, O Gentle Saviour”—1868, music by W. Howard Doane
“Rescue the Perishing”—1869, music by W. Howard Doane
“Safe in the Arms of Jesus”—1868, music by W. Howard Doane
“Savior, More Than Life to Me”—1875, music by W. Howard Doane
“To God Be the Glory”—1875, music by W. Howard Doane
The entire Bach family. I think there were at least six of them, so thats at least 3 duos
From a song in Sound of Music, Music by Rogers and Hammerstein
Perhaps I had a wicked childhood
Perhaps I had a miserable youth
But somewhere in my wicked, miserable past
There must have been a moment of truth
For here you are, standing there, loving me
Whether or not you should
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good
Nothing comes from nothing
Nothing ever could
So somewhere in my youth or childhood
I must have done something good
Leopold & Loeb.
Garcia and Hunter deserve mention.
Yea, have gotten a lot of musical mileage out of those two. I part company with most Dan fans as GAUCHO is my favorite album, but their entire career is interesting.
my latest duo is yelawolf & eminem with a song called best friend ..
They did a truly unique and strange album with Peggy Lee called MIRRORS. Worth checking out.
Yeah that Bach guy got around :)

The genius of Led Zepllin was in staeling other people’s music. Google “Jake Holmes Dazed and Confused” and you will never look at Zep the same again.
Thats cool.
Glen Danzig and Jerry Only of The Misfits. Well, not really but for those that loved punk rock they were a force; especially considering their minimal grasp of instruments.
Thanks for that, Bobby Weir is queer.
Geddy Lee/Neil Peart
Amy Ray and Emily Saliers.
Was Danzig really punk?
Stiv Bator was a punk
