OK, so the media has convinced Karen-America that we are all going to die. That it is not safe for kids to be in school. That we can't go to a baseball game. With that said....Could someone please identify any American who has DIED of COVID-19 and who, at the time of their death, was 1) under 80 years old AND 2) was reasonably healthy? Seriously. For you Twitter people, please tweet this out. I want names, locations, etc. No "urban legends" about someone's cousin. There must be newspaper articles out there of the COVID deaths involving the younger and healthy. Right?
I’m not going to give you the name, but I do know a woman friend about 72 years old who was one of the first NJ Covid deaths.
ML/NJ
It may be real, but the death rate does NOT warrant lock down. My friend at the CAF who is 79 had it in March, his words “ it was the worst flu I ever had”....I tend to agree with him, bad flu.... I know only one other friend, 42, tested positive fours weeks ago, still waiting for the “ sickness” to strike him down....he said he had allergy , pollen like symptoms....this will go down in history as the world’s biggest hoax.
He was on a respirator.
They even put out a call for covid recovered patient plasma.
Personally, I believe prayer saved his life because our church put out prayer requests to every church in town.
A few such individuals do exist. But the data strongly supports your overall point. As do we.
My company I work for has 90,000 employees across the US....6 have died, all were overweight, elderly , and other problems....6/. 90,000=0.00006 death rate.....not even a bad flu. When does this nonsense end?
Just read of 58 yr old woman in Singapore who fought this covid virus for 4 months and now ok. But imagine fighting this thing for that long!
I agree that lockdowns did not work. Caution is good enough.
I am good friends with his wife. She and the kids did not get the virus. They never even tested positive.
They thoroughly disinfected everything he had touched after he was diagnosed, that was enough.
I am the same.. I don’t even know some one that knows some that caught covid19.
Two old ladies at a local Walmart scoffed at the disease. Both quit shortly afterward and have hidden in their homes since then.
I get a real uneasiness sometimes wondering if this isn’t a test drive to see how and what ways you can control peple on a worldwide scale.
With the deaths world wide in the millions that certainly assists in population control. .....add into this maze the BLm and other piggyback street violence now worldwide.....then all these International leaders meeting to determ the flow of cash to the public.....sometimes it just seems orchestrated.
The CDC has some interesting data posted on their site, here:
https://data.cdc.gov/NCHS/Provisional-COVID-19-Death-Counts-by-Sex-Age-and-S/9bhg-hcku
For some reason, they provide data on total deaths, COVID deaths, and deaths from pneumonia and flu.
There is no age group in which COVID deaths exceed the total caused by flu and pneumonia. Looking only at the flu, COVID is significantly less deadly than the flu for children under the age of 14, and causes less than 3% of all deaths in persons under the age of 35.
It gets a little murky, because the CDC has always reported their age distributions with a funky “mid-decade” cutoff, ie, age cohorts are 35-44, 45-54 etc. But, the COVID doesn’t really get going enough to cause more than 8% of all deaths until you hit the 45-54 age cohort, and even then it is not the greatest risk of death for older Americans.
Now it’s interesting that it’s easy to find global data on comorbitities, but if the CDC is collecting and sharing their own information on this topic with the public, it’s buried deeper than I could find. Which is probably not an accident, because it would be a glaring and too obvious embarassement to the Dem/Media/Acedemic/Deep State goons who want to do as much damage as possible between now and November 4.
..approx 200 deaths per day in America.
Out of 300,000,000 people, thats .00000067% of the population.
How many die from ANY thing else each day? How about diabetes? Falling down stairs? Hit by cars? Shot?
This nonsense is nothing to live in fear about.
You raise a good point. Those vaunted ventilations May have contributed to a lot of deaths.
Other than those here on FR and what the news reports of certain individuals I can’t say I do either....
But it’s clear covid is a worldwide event and creating havoc everywhere it’s hitting hard...
we have just 3 patients this week in our hospital.
Saw a double-wide woman nearly running through a store, right after it opened. She wasn’t wearing a mask, and it wasn’t required there at the time. But she was in a huge hurry. Little annoying but comical.
I think the lockdown should be over, as the virus appears to have mutated, AND we have a better handle on how to treat it. Has Covid been used politically? Absolutely, and that is extremely irresponsible (but that's the nature of the left). Is it a new virus with which our immune systems have not had to contend? Yes, in part, in my view, because it didn't evolve naturally but was the result of gain of function irresponsible ‘research’ by the Wuhan lab.
Your keyword is "healthy person" isn't it? How many people are not healthy and don't know it or will not admit it to themselves?
I live in a place with a very low infection rate. If I lived were the population was more dense, I would likely see some cases.
At our peak we had 20 some patients....for the size of our hospital and the facilities tey had ready this is nothing really.
The thing you "no lockdown" people have to understand is that every decision maker (governors, legislators, school boards, infection prevention people, you name it) are facing ferocious pressure, every day, to GUARANTEE zero new infections, to CREATE LIABILITY for infections that occur, and they DO NOT CARE about the costs.
