Hallmark Channel’s annual collection of Christmas movies starring actors like Danica McKellar and Candace Cameron Bure are designed to spread tidings and joy. But when the network revealed an advance look at this year’s lineup of 40 holiday films — including titles like Deliver by Christmas, On the 12th Date of Christmas and Christmas Doctor — it received a lump of coal in return. Social media immediately noted that none of the films feature LGBTQ characters or storylines and called the channel out on Twitter.

Yeah right Hallmark's core audience of women are demanding LGBTQ storylines. I would love Hallmark to do some LGBT movies and compare the ratings to hetero movies. Isn't there a LGBT oriented cable channel. How about they do cheesy RomCom Christmas movies.

Actually, there were a lot of gay characters, they just didn’t shove their sexual preference in your face. Prove me wrong. Not all gay people wear the rainbow flag and lisp.

In the new Hallmark Christmas movie Don/Dawn We Now Our Gay Apparel, Dawn (formerly Don when he left town) returns home from the big city and is unable to find clothing in hisher home town to fit hisher 6’5” frame. She falls in love with the town’s tailor and gives him a Christmas surprise.

AMEN, Brother! Leave Hallmark alone. There’s plenty of peverse content out there to pick from. Some of us actually enjoy the wholesome (although totally formulaic/predictable) content on Hallmark.
