I'm on my third go-round and loving the show. Have gotten husband and my two best friends into it. Similar and different from a US cop show. If the Guardian series is like Superman/Clark Kent, another series starring the actor who plays the Chief of SID, Bai Yu, has to be Sherlock Holmes. The series, "Detective L," has 24 English captioned episodes on YouTube.
