I have read mixed stories. some say the protesters blocked the highway themselves. Others say the police shut it down for them and the guy drove around a barricade..

either way, playing on the freeway is stupid and the “protesters” should be taking their lives in to their own hands.

I read the WA Highway Patrol has enabled this for 19 days. They shut down all the on ramps upstream and forced cars to exit. The damn government siding with and enabling the Marxists.

The protesters put the barricades up themselves, and a make-shift bunch of junk it was. They wore black. At 1:30 am. It’s hard enough to see pedestrians when driving, esp with twililght and then at night. No Safety Vests like any normal freeway worker would wear. Mom always said don’t play in the street.

Curious what his motive was - I heard they been blocking roads/ freeways up there for some time.

What better place to petition the government for redress of grievances than assemble on a high-speed thoroughfare between jersey walls and noise buffers in the middle of the night?

The "barricade" he drove around before he hit them was very makeshift. Nothing but cars and vans parked sideways on the freeway, sort of blocking it. It was not an official barricade.
