Quite a few years ago, my Daughter and I were watching an air show at Eglin. The Thunderbirds were the final performance.

By that time I was worn out so we went to the parking lot and watched the rest in my pickup. We actually had a better view and could also see them preparing for various fly bys.

Depending on the setting, we’ve parked and watched air shows from the car and had great views.

Back when I was able to see the Blue Angels perform at Pt Mugu, I would take a scanner radio and listen to the diamond and solo comms. Really enhanced the show.
