Boycott Businesses in States with Mandatory Face Mask Rules
7/2/20 | Wallace T.

Posted on 07/02/2020 5:49:33 PM PDT by Wallace T.

Texas has joined other, mostly Democrat run, states in requiring face masks in most public places, including retail, services, and restaurants, except when eating or drinking. This is despite the fact that the GOP holds all statewide offices, as well as both houses of the Legislature, both Senate seats, and a majority of the U.S. House seats.

Our rulers understand one thing above others: the almighty dollar. They also respect the voices of major financial donors. Texans and residents of all mask mandatory states should not buy anything other than food or items absolutely necessary, like a needed car repair or doctor's appointment. Nothing else. When possible, order on line or for pickup outside. When retailers find their stores empty and their sales crashing, they will let the Governor know their opinion.

To pressure governors to end mandatory mask rules.

I haven’t had to wear a tie to work in years, happily. Now I gotta wear a mask? Sheesh.

I didn’t think I voted for Wendy Davis or Clay Jenkins, but I must wonder why I voted for him

What a crappy thing that would be to do to those already struggling businesses.

Abbott has been a great governor throughout this COVID situation. Whether he’s right or not, I respect that he’s getting data that I’m not aware of. I will not boycott Texas.

NOT a smart idea. These business owners are trying like HELL to keep their businesses going through all the BS the Left is throwing their way, and you say compound their problems with a boycott. These people are keeping other families afloat with jobs, and you say boycott them. I don’t think you get the picture.

They didn’t have to-he’s always been a little bit of a neocon/Bushie type-he’s hidden it pretty well up to now-it would be nice to remove him and give his position to Lt. Gov Dan Patrick instead-he has a bigger set of balls...

Why do you want to punish the business owners? They didn’t ask for the rules, they’re fighting for survival.

Great idea ... let’s add to the economic woes by boycotting.

No, thanks.

This is so dumb. Put a dang mask on and go to the store. It’s not hard. I’ve seen an uptick in mask wearing in Florida this week. I guess people are waking up.

The only way these politicians learn is if the people act, not in civil disobedience which would result in fines and a misdemeanor record, but in something that will cause both mom and pop stores and the big box retailers to complain to the ruling elite. Boycotts work. It worked in the civil rights era. Ask Gillette about boycotts.

Masks are ineffective in protecting people from COVID-19. If people want to wear them, it’s their call.
