"If they don't do the job, I'll do the job," President Trump said at the White House on Monday about the lack of leadership in Seattle. The city has been a scene of chaos the past several days after a group of protesters kicked police out of an area they've deemed separate from the United States and renamed their new habitat the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone.
Gov. Jay Inslee has failed to address the rebellion, and Mayor Jenny Durkan tried to spin the anarchy into a positive, suggesting CHAZ could actually help turn Seattle into a "summer of love."
"These people have taken over...a vast part of Seattle....And we have a governor who's a stiff, and we have a mayor who said, 'This is going to be a love fest,'" Trump reacted.
He added that Gov. Inslee is "one of the most overrated politicians in the country" and the mayor "doesn't even know if she's alive."
"These are violent people that took it over," Trump added, noting that he saw punches being thrown while watching coverage of CHAZ on Fox News.
He said he could do about 10 different things that would end the chaos very quickly.

Trump should leave Seattle to their own devices.
They made the soup, let them stew in it.
It’s not CHAZ, now, it”s CHUD./s
Stop the F’ing tweeting and back up your play. The left knows you won’t do crap. Stop bluffing! Stop pretending. If you are going to do something then DO IT!
I think it should be called DUD.
Agreed. Just more 86D chess, and while in normal times it’s amusing to witness, this is not even close to normal times.
I thought they renamed it Durkan-Durkanstan.
The nation doesn’t need bluster and bluff. It needs to be educated by its leader. Tell the people the city and state have the resources to handle the situation and the governor and mayor have chosen not to intervene. If they at some future date have a need for federal intervention they can call him and he will provide troops.
If the people are unhappy with the performance of their local and state leaders they will have the opportunity to remedy the situation in November.
Trump is making the Mayor own the situation. That’s why he’s tweeting.
Also, behind the scenes are federal agents from various federal agencies quietly arresting those involved. All these rioters and anarchists are facing FEDERAL CHARGES. That means no bail or parole.
Trump knows what he’s doing.
His bluffing and bluster is working.
The Left wants Trump to send out the military so they can have their optics.
Trump is denying them that.
Behind the scenes are federal agents quietly arresting these scumbags. By end of the summer, Antifa will be decimated and they can’t terrorize people during the election.
Yup.
Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.

“Trump is making the Mayor own the situation. Thats why hes tweeting.”
Exactly right. This seems to be over some of the posters heads.
How the hell can Trump not know how pathetic his empty threats sound?
No attempt to verbally sway the populace as far as why the track the country is on is a disaster. A Biden presidency and what it means horrifies me. I will vote for Trump. But he’s tiring me out rather than filling me optimism for where we are headed even if he wins.
Thank you. Trump’s entire Presidency has been a Poker game. It has to be. He would be an idiot to telegraph his moves.
He’s bluffing with the military. He’s not going to do it. While he’s bluffing, federal agents are doing the work and quietly removing these bastards.
Agreed. At this point all the bluffing makes him look weak and stupid. If Mark Esper and some generals are the problem FIRE THEM!
Try and understand that Trump is the 1st President in the modern era to punish those who riot, loot, and commit arson. Think of all the riots going back to the 60s and thru Obama and nobody got arrested for anything.
There are now at least 60 arrests for federal arson and explosive charges, as well as assault on law enforcement.
This being done behind the scenes by federal agents who don’t need permission to enter a city or state jurisdiction.
When our son was 5 or 6 years old, when we took him to the local video rental store he always wanted to rent C.H.U.D. Of course we never let him, and luckily he’s grown up to be a very normal young man. But that kind of scared us. haha
