During the 1990s, I was acquainted with a woman who helped with blood donation drives. She said that there was sometimes a little difficulty in that area with getting enough donors. She said that blood was not allowed from anyone who had ever had sex with anyone else who had ever abused drugs intravenously. It’s likely that the same problem from drug abuse is far more widespread now.
Now days I only donate blood for specific people in need. Banking in preparation for a surgery, e.t.c.
And I don’t give them my phone number other wise they are calling every month and a half pestering me to come and “donate”.
