Murder in Three Acts. Lol. Big, big Agatha fan and have started rereading them lately.

Only need 2 more books to have everything she has ever written.

The French study identified the reason. It said that the receptors the virus uses to invade the body are the exact receptors nicotine uses. Their study concluded that with nicotine already occupying those receptors that the virus has a very difficult time attaching itself to those receptors.

Nicotine, even delivered through smoking cigarettes has long been recognized as relieving certain bronchial symptoms. There are other complications, of course, and smoking it is generally not recommended.

For this I think you need an vapor delivery mode to get the toxins to the lungs.

First, nicotine isn't toxic in normal doses. It's apparently got some small effect of increasing blood pressure temporarily, but the effect is probably less than than an extra bit of salt on your food.

Second, the tissues inside the mouth are probably better at absorbing nicotine than the lungs. They wouldn't make nicotine gum and nicotine patches if it had to be inhaled. I've been using nicotine fluid (the kind used for refilling vaping devices) for about ten years. I put a drop on the back of my hand and lick it off. I don't inhale the nicotine to get it into my bloodstream. I'm taking in nicotine at about the same quantity as a 3+ pack a day smoker and have zero health problems. Oh, and my blood pressure is routinely in the "low normal" range. Significantly better than it was 20 or 30 years ago.

I have theorized that smokers take less deep breaths.

It’s the nicotine that is potentially.

Your delivery system was the problem.

Makes sense, that is what nicotine does, it dulls the immune system in the lungs
