I don't know if many freepers visit WRSA. I do. It appears that it was taken down by Wordpress today. Perhaps they'll return to their previous site on Blogspot.

I just tried my link to Matt Bracken’s “What I Saw at the Coup”.
Same message came up.
If there were any justice in this world, Matt would end up owning the bastards.
It’s getting to where you need to download and save things like that. The hosts are increasingly unreliable when it comes to free speech.
You need an actual copy and not just the link anymore.
Can’t rely on anything free which is what blogspot and wordpress.com are. Wordpress.org is the software that you use with your own hosting. That’s what they should have been using.

Well they have their own domain and hosting as opposed to relying on a free service. Same thing as the social networks.
If anyone knows how to get in touch with them, Matt I guess, I can set them up cheap.
If this were a substantial organization, they’d own their own URL. Any dumb schlub and their dog can create a wordpress site. If you’re a professional, you create your own exclusive site. Just the hard candy truth.
They have to silence opposition and prevent good people from being able to have a voice before they can bring their plans to fruition.

I just checked. westernrifleshooters.com is considered a “premium” domain name. Basically that means the domain people noticed the free blog versions of the site was popular so they figure they can get a good price for it someday. It’s $1800
figure out another domain name. Install the open source wordpress software and they’d be familiar with it as it’s pretty much the same as what’s on wordpress.com. You get the software from wordpress.org, get the domain for $20/year, get hosting for $10/mth and you’re good to go. There’s even some pro 1st & 2nd amendment web hosts out there. I’d be happy to help them out. I’ve been hosting a site for a fellow FReeper for a few years now. I set it up for him using wordpress.

I kind of doubt that is the reason. It is obvious the only value that domain name has is the years of content that Matt produced for that site on Wordpress, and as popular as Matt is over 99% of the other Wordpress sites (most are dormant or squatted), the advertising revenue would be relatively nominal. (And to be blunt, $1800 is one of those bizzaro-world figures domain sites put out on their “site worth” widgets to encourage people to buy the domain at that price for a bigger commission.)
No, the real reason is because Matt is a constitutional Conservative with views that are considered against the tech companies desire for a communist dystopia. I suggest that Matt partner with other associate sites and create a single domain entity, similar to unz.com .
Contrary to what some folks assume, I don’t run or have control of WRSA, never did.
I just was able to place my stuff there with no hassles.
As opposed to begging name-brand “Conservative Inc” websites, and accepting their own degrees of control and censorship.

One of the early goals of all Red revolutions is the seizure or destruction of all information distribution outlets.

The second iteration of the Western Rifle Shooters Association (WRSA) blog, hosted by Wordpress, was nuked today.
While it is a loss, it was a deliberate sacrifice of a player to increase situational awareness.
The Reds are on the move.
The prize is the former United States of America.
The Red cares not about race, except to the extent it can and is used to befog the naive about the Party’s real goals.
WRSA was, first and always, a freedom advocacy site.
It was shot out of the saddle today by an arm of the Communist enemy propaganda machine.
Their attack did not kill WRSA.
Nor did it kill a single one of its followers.
The totalitarian bastards really can’t stop the signal.
Take heart, not just in this tiny skirmish but in the overall struggle to save the West, from WRSA’s final masthead:
