The second day we moved into our first house (still there!) my wife was on the porch with a bag of groceries and looking at the squirrel in the yard.

Thinking “Oh how cute!”

The squirrel took three hops towards her.

“Oh, this is so neat!”

Then it tore over and ran up her body and she dropped the groceries and flung the squirrel off.

Found out later that the previous owner would let the squirrels sit on her shoulder and she would feed them peanuts!

We had one of those pet squirrels that would climb up our legs onto an arm to eat peanuts. It was so cute and adorable. Never bit us or anything aggressive. This was at our camper in the woods.

Then one weekend I went to the camper alone, went inside and discovered the drawer where the peanut bag was kept had a hole chewed into it. Further investigation revealed a hole chewed in the belly.

I shot the squirrel which resolved the issue.
