Of course, we’ll never see this on any front pages of any mainstream newspapers.
After all, the very same man who signed off on this bloody gun running scandal is now running for President, and he has already made it very clear that, if elected, America is in for four more years of this same type of action. It’s time to hold Biden’s and Obama’s feet to the fire for some answers…and if they don’t think Americans deserve those answers, maybe they’ll agree that Mexico does. Here’s what the CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb would like us all to remember:
Mexico deserves answers about a bloody Obama-Biden administration gun running scandal called “Operation Fast and Furious,” adding that after ten years, the American public also has a right to know the truth.The American tendency to turn our faces away from the past and look towards the future is usually one of the nation’s greatest strengths, but in this case, we absolutely cannot allow the public to forget Operation Fast and Furious…or both we and the citizens of Mexico can look forward to much more of the same.“Fast and Furious was a scandal of monumental proportions,” CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb recalled. “The Obama/Biden administration at first feigned ignorance, then withheld thousands of subpoenaed documents from the House Oversight Committee, claiming executive privilege until a federal court ordered them to be turned over to investigators. One ATF agent told the Committee that Fast & Furious was ‘the perfect storm of idiocy.’
“We can certainly sympathize with Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador,” he continued. “Under Barack Obama, Joe Biden and former Attorney General Eric Holder, the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) allowed more than 2,000 firearms to get into criminal hands in Mexico. Many people have been killed, including Border Patrol agent Brian Terry.
“Mexico and every U.S. citizen deserves not only an apology but Holder and several other former Obama/Biden administration officials should have been criminally prosecuted,” he stated. “Bad actors should be punished, not law abiding American gun owners, as Joe Biden has proposed with his gun control agenda if elected president.
“Incredibly,” Gottlieb added, “the Obama-Biden administration used this fiasco as an excuse to implement new requirements for firearms dealers in the Southwest, as if they were to blame for what happened.”
Holder became the first serving U.S. Attorney General to be held in criminal and civil contempt of Congress.
“Any apology should come from those responsible,” Gottlieb observed. “That would be Obama, Biden, Holder and the ATF and Justice Department officials who cooked up this outrageous scheme.
“It’s been almost ten years since Fast & Furious was exposed,” Gottlieb said. “That’s long enough to wait for answers. We can’t allow this scandal to be swept under a rug any longer. Unfortunately, if Joe Biden becomes the next president, with his selective memory, he’ll deliberately forget this travesty and the behavior it spawned.”
Some of the Fast and Furious guns were in El Chapo’s hideout.
This was an attempted end run around the Second Amendment.
The US cannot infringe upon RKBA, but perhaps a friendly court could require restrictions on certain weapons out of a responsibility to other nations.
Hillary Clinton was in the middle of this, too. It was an attempt to use her position as Secretary of State to implement one of her most treasured domestic agenda items, Gun Control.
The first time I heard Hillary Clinton’s screeching voice going on about the percentage of crimes in Mexico being committed with US guns, I thought she was probably giving them the guns just so she can use the murders for her own domestic agenda.
When the Fast and Furious scandal broke, I was dismayed, but not surprised.
And Eric the Red (Holder) has the gall to go on TV whining about Barr, just like his old boss.
Send Holder, either voluntarily, or involuntarily to Mexico,
to explain to the Mexican people why so many died by a flawed, and criminal, Obama enterprise.
I am sure that they will listen to the rhetoric and propaganda.
Self-described 'Obama's wingman' should be swinging from a bridge.
It was the whole DNC.
After Brian Terry was killed, the all got orders to be quiet and end that talking point.
I don't think it has properly broken yet, and probably won't be. The NYT eventually had an editorial about it but it downplayed what happened.
Imagine if a Republican president sold M-16s to Mexican drug lords.
Or answers to Benghazi.
