Fox News anchor Bret Baier on Tuesday called out the "hypocrisy" of President Trump's claim the day before that he has "total" authority when it comes to reopening the nation's economy, saying that conservative heads would have "exploded" had former President Obama said the same thing.

I have compiled a list of all the times Bret Baier bashed obama.
1.
He said, as his head exploded because, being a liberal, he didn't like Trump saying he had "total authority", because Mr. Bair believes total authority only belonged to 0bummer....
This speaks volumeshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnmDqIvQD0s
Obama is a commie and aspiring dictator; Trump is not. . .
BIG, BIG difference. . . night and day.
A million years ago i thought this guy was good.
haven’t watched in 6 or so years now.
was he good once or just another fake conservative when obama was in office like Will?
Waiting for the Libertarians among us to chime in...
As much as I like Trump (and getting to like him better than Reagan...), I don’t care WHO it is - in the U.S., the President is not supposed to be able to tell the states what to do.
I think Congress overstepped many, many years ago with the interstate commerce bit, and we can’t get that back.
Trump, Obama, George Washington - President does not have total authority.
Bret, Bret, Bret.......How many times do we have to tell you: Take Trump seriously, but not literally.
And..? So what Go away Fox fake.
Let me get this straight, according to the Libs, the President didn’t shut the country down soon enough.
And, according to Libs, the President doesn’t have the authority to reopen the country he should have shut down sooner when he deems it reasonably safe to do so.
Logic isn’t their strong point.
Brett is like all the other Fox stooges who take their orders from the Ryan disciples on the board.
You. beat. me. to. it.
Never give the *BEST* ruler(s) any more authority than you want the very *WORST* possible ones to have.
The idea behind a very very limited government; sure you might have a giant like Washington, Jackson or Reagan, but never, for any reason, in any circumstance give them any more authority or precedent to use the same than you would want Obama or FDR to have.
So no, I don’t think President Trump is constitutionally correct, but basically, because I don’t think he should have anywhere near the authority that some people do; it has nothing do with his love for this country or patriotic vision, I don’t want *ANY* President to think they have the authority eo either shut down or open up anything beyond an elevator in the White House.
Maybe hes laid a trap for the states to finally recognize their own sovereignty. Now the MSM is bringing out the 10th Amendment. They declared it dead when Obama was president.
I agree that Trump does not have total authority. But then now the libs are touting Federalism.
Do you think maybe Trumps choice of words was possibly Genius. If the states are given the right to declare their own response to this Crisis, then when the SHTF, he cannot be blamed.
Waiting for the Libertarians among us to chime in...Since the Libertarians here are a delicate bunch I will do it for them:
Kentucky Republican Sen. Rand Paul appeared to warn President Donald Trump against overreaching on coronavirus restrictions Tuesday, tweeting that “powers not delegated are RESERVED to states & the PEOPLE.”
“The constitution doesn’t allow the federal gov’t to become the ultimate regulator of our lives because they wave a doctor’s note,” Paul said.
“Powers not delegated are RESERVED to states & the PEOPLE. If we dispense with constitutional restraints, we will have more to worry about than a virus.”
I still see Bret as the cub reporter who wasn’t able to access the verdict in the OJ Simpson civil trial.
