For those who think Captain Crozier should be court martialed, are you kidding?
Doing so would be a political nightmare for the Navy. The commanding officer who would one would be ending his own career.
See my post above. I certainly don’t think he should be court marshaled. But he committed an error of judgement, and it was especially the kind the Navy really hates.
He obviously cared about his men and was popular, but it is not his job to be popular. His first job is the mission of the ship.
