The COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic continues. As of today, the world has had over 1,340,00 cases with over 74,000 deaths.
Since ancient times, diseases have spread throughout the world. But nowadays they can spread so much faster.
With today’s rapid air travel, an infected person could fly around the world and infect hundreds of people before he’s even aware that he himself is infected.
It’s a global problem. So, how are “globalists” handling it?

I think it will be hard for people to argue in favor of wide open borders after this. There is no good reason for such a state of affairs, and certainly good reasons not to have such a situation.
Likewise, my local supermarkets have banned all of the germ-laden reusable cloth grocery bags of death. I don’t see how those become peachy-keen again in a couple months. Say hello to plastics bags.
Perhaps unexpectedly, this virus could benefit globalism.
I think it benefits Nationalism and kills Globalism.
My tag line is over a year old. The silver lining for this whole thing is that it is a huge win for the nationalists.
It may result in masses of voters becoming more dependent on government. The worse government screws up the crisis, the more voters may run to their arms.
No, there is a Nationalistic spirit that is getting stronger.
