Thanks, I’d missed that clip but Senator Dr. Jensen is absolutely right, and what he said agrees with my lawyer pal’s statement that the death certificate should record the facts, based on the but-for standard. The Doctor’s example of a person who came in with pneumonia and died of it while coincidentally a family member tested positive for covid-19 should have been recored as a pneumonia death. Saying it was covid-related would be dishonest because the patient was not hospitalized “for” CV.

Sadly he’s right about “juicing up the fear factor”, and that’s not limited to pandemics. Nowadays every winter storm is put out as the “storm of the century” and all kinds of severe weather warnings are over-stated and exaggerated. We have to demand factual information we can rely on, not fear propaganda.
