You are correct that the Progressives want to milk this crisis for every bit of political advantage they can get and wouldn’t mind a few thousand extra deaths if that helped.

Beyond that the Mainstream media, particularly cable news networks, is so heavily dependent on revenue from Big-Pharma ads that their reporting is now little more than a Pharmacuetical Industry infomercial. What other commercials do you ever see on CNN or Fox News?

You will never see reporting on cable news about complications from vaccines, the dangerous side-effects of Statins and anti-depressants or any other topic that might lower those Big Pharma stock dividends.
