That’s a problem with many preppers, is spouting off about how much food and other necessities in is their stash. So the guys with guns can take it when a crisis hits.

Proper prepping involves defense.
5 guys could take me. 3 would be dead. The other 2 would make out.
Many decades ago, I worked with a guy who was a real outdoorsman.
I asked him if he was a survivalist, and he said that a real survivalist would never tell you that they were. So if he said no, it didn’t mean he wasn’t.
So too with real preppers.
My family knows of my prepping tendencies but I don’t talk much about it beyond that.
