WHITSETT, N.C. The Guilford County Sheriffs office said they found nearly 18,000 pounds of commercial bathroom paper products in a stolen 53-foot Hyundai dry-van trailer on Wednesday.
Sheriff Danny Rodgers said their Specialized Enforcement Unit initiated an investigation on the driver of a tractor-trailer who was traveling on Interstate 40 in Whitsett, North Carolina.
Rodgers said the driver was in violation of NC Motor Vehicle law, so deputies followed the vehicle to a warehouse/dock facility a short distance off the interstate. Deputies encountered the driver and determined the tractor-trailer was stolen from a local facility and was being used to transport nearly 18,000 pounds of toilet paper.

A life lesson that I learned in the Army. Back when I was a company commander, single soldiers lived in the barracks, most of them in platoon bays. The troops kept at least one roll of tp in their wall locker because other troops would steal the tp from the latrines. Various methods were used to solve this problem, but smart First Sergeants and Company Commanders found this solution worked best. Flood the zone was the solution. We issued one case of tp to the Charge of Quarters (CQ) with instructions to check the latrines once an hour and replenish the tp.
As soon as the troops figured out that they would also find tp whenever they needed to make the trip to the latrine, nicking the tp came to a halt.
So they will impound it forever, its evidence vs get it to the original destination
I see what you did there. Nice.
