My wife and I were talking to our 26 year old daughter. She was lamenting everything. I asked what her fiancée was doing. She said he was reading a book.
When we hung up I turned to my wife and asked what we would have been doing at 26 and locked up for two weeks.
She responded, “ Not talking to my parents, that’s for sure. We’d just be coming up for air about now.”
The times they have changed.
I think they call that ‘reading a book’, now.
