Is anyone here naive enough to think that all of the Democrat governors in PA, NY, NJ, CT, IL, CA, WA acted independently to announce economically crippling shutdowns, all on Monday morning?

Honor, I don’t know if you watched the string of announcements from governors *live* yesterday afternoon, or not. It was coordinated and they didn’t hide the fact. One after another, PA, NJ, NY, and surrounding states are in cahoots with each other.
Before you compare infection and mortality rates with Italy you should first compare health care systems. Italy’s socialized healthcare system is strained during a normal flu season. Beyond that, their population is aging, and they’ve been selling themselves to China for the past 15-20 years. There are LOTS of Chinese nationals living in Italy now and LOTS of people traveling back and forth between Italy and China. You see it in the street shops in every major city in Italy that sell everything from candy bars to sofas, always with a Chinese national sitting behind the counter. The same is true in Iran, except Iran’s healthcare system is more like vintage 8th Century.

New Mexico is not too bad yet - over 20 cases all travel related and all but two in ABQ/Santa Fe area (Socorro has the other two). Restaurants can stay open at 50% capacity with no standing, no sitting at bar, and occupied tables at least six feet apart. No cases in southern New Mexico at all.
This is a Deep State active coup campaign against (small-r) republicans and populists, with their main goal to stifle all economic activity and get people to vote against capitalism and freedom. Pure and simple. This has NEVER BEEN about the ACTUAL disease, but to take out Donald Trump, Nigel Farage, and other nationalist patriots.
This is all about fomenting civil unrest. Be looking for antifa to rear its ugly head soon.

I had to make a decision to shut down my organization last week as well to qwell the hysteria for the greater good and end the unease that growing.
I did not take the decision lightly and had a headache for 3 days but, it was necessary to bring peace to everyone.
Had I chosen the other option to remain open there would be all kinds of strife that would have been vocal and then covert resentment.
No one wanted to do it but, the alternative was worse emotionally.
