... From April 12, 2009 to April 10, 2010, CDC estimated there were 60.8 million cases (range: 43.3-89.3 million), 274,304 hospitalizations (range: 195,086-402,719), and 12,469 deaths (range: 8,868-18,306) in the United States due to the (H1N1)pdm09 virus.
Additionally, CDC estimated that 151,700-575,400 people worldwide died from (H1N1)pdm09 virus infection during the first year the virus circulated.** Globally, 80 percent of (H1N1)pdm09 virus-related deaths were estimated to have occurred in people younger than 65 years of age. This differs greatly from typical seasonal influenza epidemics, during which about 70 percent to 90 percent of deaths are estimated to occur in people 65 years and older.
The United States mounted a complex, multi-faceted and long-term response to the pandemic, summarized in The 2009 H1N1 Pandemic: Summary Highlights, April 2009-April 2010. On August 10, 2010, WHO declared an end to the global 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic. However, (H1N1)pdm09 virus continues to circulate as a seasonal flu virus, and cause illness, hospitalization, and deaths worldwide every year.

1. All of the salaried people have canceled school. They can hang out with their kids and get paid to listen to:
2. NPR and all other left wing outlets can destabilize Trump and the economy whilst destroying lives in a last-ditch effort to win 2020.

Thanks for posting. Great information. We have been here before. There will be parallels and differences, that we can use to shape our assessment of the current outbreak.
This was an interesting tidbit
September 1
More than 1,000 test kits shipped to 120 domestic and 250 international laboratories in 140 countries since May 1, 2009.
They had a test by May 1st (Apr 15th 1st case diagnosed) and had shipped 1000 kits by Sept 1st, although by mid June there were a million cases, doubling by July.
President Trump’s team will have 4 million test kits out by the end of the week and Labcorp and others have started offering their own test in the last few days.
Bfl
me too
These flu numbers were not much talked about in days past, so people have no perspective this time around. As a result its easy to spread panic.
My question.... is this the way we will react to the viruses from now on?
Flu Season comes and goes. In the past different strains of flu came and went. People got sick and some died. Is this one outpacing past flu seasons? Flu shots deal with only a percentage of the different strains that might appear. We have gone totally berserk with this strain. Is it now proper to prepare for the worst on something that might happen. The next time theres a report of an asteroid that will come close to earth, should we prepare for the end of the world? To me this is just another example of an effort to discredit and blame the administration. The thing is it has gone TOO far.
It's also social media (that wasn't anywhere near as omnipresent or efficient in 2009 as it is today) keeping people's fingers on the panic button.
I’m unconvinced that this outbreak has anything to do with the election.
Because of where it apparently started, and how many people it’s killing, who don’t vote.
The outbreak is being used by the media to stoke uncertainty, fear and panic...and to disrupt the economy. All of this is being manipulated by the worthless dishonest media and the useless leftists and the degenerate leftist politicians. That is one of the ways this had “to do with the elections”.
This IS all about completely shutting down the economy in an election year!!!
There are many thousands of active killer diseases roaming around the world at any time.
THIS was the time and place to create a national panic.
Similar thing happened with AIDS, a totally preventable disease.
If you want a “revolution,” foment discord, class warfare, and a sense of injustice and panic.
Happy people never become communists.
Most people that I know aren’t politicizing this outbreak, and more importantly, aren’t listening to anyone who tries to.
Then again, most people that I know aren’t leftists.
