Questions were coming to me as he was reading. How could not have someone foreseen these issues? Possibly too many yes men around him. Or possibly someone corrupt intentionally sabotaging an effort like this.
We went through this before with the so called ‘Muslim Ban”.
Naturally, Old Man Joe jumps on this lack of consistency.
This sounds like clarification rather than “walk back”.
You can’t expect the President to recite every minute detail of a plan on a televised address.

Trump can make NO mistakes or even give the appearance of making one.

Even if he had been spot on and made all the clarifications they would have found something else.

Let me give you folks a hint, if President Trump cured Cancer the Media Headlines would read, “President Trump has caused thousands of doctors and medical researchers to become unemployed”. News at 7:00.
Take any one one of these and most people are not individually affected.

What we believe is that liberal news like yahoo and ilk form the beliefs of a large part of this country- Yes they are spinning, those on the right know it- but it doesn’t matter- the left will gobble it up as gospel truth- and that is why stories like this get posted here- so that we can know the enemy and prepare to meet them head on with facts-
1I Didn’t hear Trump say that we would not trade with Europe.
2) MINOR difference regarding travel ban from Europe excluding American citizens and work permitted workers(I assumed that).
3)Insurance companies waive the co-pay for the test but not the whole visit. OK. It is nice that Trump got the testing to be free for a lot of people.
Every news source I turned to during the day seemed to be leading with Trump made two misstatements. (1) The ban on Europe did not including returning US citizens and permanent residents. Okay, what’s the big deal that he did not say more explicitly that non-citizens were being banned? And, (2) Europe but not all of it. Again, it is in the details but not a misstatement that there were exceptions. And ban travel in the details did not also mean trade and cargo. Well, trade and cargo don’t travel, so again, what’s the big deal? Ah, something to beat Trump up with I guess.
These are such trivial points of contention in this article.

When he said cutting off travel from Europe, did anyone think he meant we would leave U.S. citizens stranded overseas? We don’t cut off our citizen from repatriation in situations like this. Nobody could reasonably think he meant that. Absurd article.
I was listening to a CBS News radio report. They played a clip of Trump saying there were 11 deaths national. The news report said Trump had it wrong, there were really 14.
It was chicken S BS report just like this article. Show me a point that was a major walkback as is being portrayed.
This is more of the hollywood screen writers political soap script. And the article quoting Politico is not your first clue.

I did not fall for it. That is why I wrote that none of this amounted to a hill of beans. It is simply nit-picking that he didn’t parse his words sufficiently. Reminds me of my wife, no matter what is said or done, it won’t be quite right or enough for her.
I am aware of several Europeans staying here in a hotel, because they do not want to go back to Europe right now at all.
