I have made the decision to conduct our upcoming championship events, including the Division I men's and women's basketball tournaments, with only essential staff and limited family attendance.

Good news - now there will be less NCAA riots and thuggery near sports arenas!
If you bought tickets from resale (e.g. Stubhub) - you just got f’d!
Will be interesting to see how the athletes respond to not having a crowd to cheer for or against them.

Watch a WNBA game.
It will be interesting to see how the “Its the flu Bro” Freepers will respond to this...
They should have canned cheering/booing.
It seemed like just another flu, albeit one that targets the elderly much more seriously. Now we’re seeing what kind of damage to the lungs this virus is causing, even to younger adults, and I have to admit this is starting to get a bit unnerving.
Uh oh,

Sheer stupidity. The NCAA deserves to lose millions.
There are four cases in the state of Ohio. Tell us how that justifies barring fans from tournament games in the state.
Only someone paranoid would suggest that is reasonable.

How many people died of the flu today? It’s “interesting” to see the Wu Flu groupies avoiding that topic.
hehe
Stubhub will issue a full refund and take the money back from the seller. People who bought from the NCAA might be out of luck depending on contract terms
So now the kids are going to hang out in bars ... in all seriousness, I do believe this (the virus outbreak) will be bigger than Katrina or 9/11 - likely this will be the defining event of the millineal generation.
Ask me in about 9 months ...
The NCAA and especially Mark Emmert could screw up a one car parade. Everything they touch turns to manure.
The ACC just announced they will play the rest of their tournament without fans starting with Thursday’s games. What are the Vegas odds they cancel the big dance altogether?
