Wuhan is larger than NYC and has been on lockdown for some time now.
Anyone going out is subject to arrest or worse. It’s China.
How do we do that in New York? Chicago? Do you think millions of people are going to just stay home quietly?
Rather, if the police are stretched and battling the virus themselves might we expect SHTF — widespread panic, rioting, looting. This is a criminals’ dream. Steal and police are too sick or busy to do anything.
Then the Governor or POTUS does what? Puts tanks on the streets in New York? Orders looters to be shot if caught in the act?
The average age of death. This is a fallacy to think those even 50 and up aren’t at risk. The death rate is based on MAXIMUM medical care. Once all the beds fill up and the system collapses (doctors and nurses get sick, too), then what’s the death rate?
What’s the death rate from other procedures and patients they can’t treat because the system is collapsing?
Being in a large city in a crisis like this is the worst place to be.
