Aleksandra Sadowska from the city of Wroclaw in the west of Poland had gone to the tattooist after deciding she wanted to emulate a rap artist called Popek, who also had the whites of his eyes dyed black.
The bungled procedure left the 25-year-old model complaining of pains in her eyes which the tattooist is reported to have said was normal and could be treated with painkillers.
Based in the Polish capital Warsaw, the tattoo artist named in local media as Piotr A., is facing three years in prison for unintentionally severely disabling the woman.

Geez...this is like the guy who tried to shoot a bottle rocket out of his butt. Or the guy who shot a lawn mower full of tannerite and blew his own leg off. Some people are their own worst enemies.
she’s not blind in one eye yet. But they said she definitely will be soon. I wonder if that would be the case in a u.s. hospital. I don’t know

Still, I feel bad for her. We all do stupid stuff when we’re kids, and peer pressure can play a part.
Maybe I’m too old to appreciate “beauty”, but I find those false eyelashes that many ladies are sporting to be off-putting (they look like spiders on one’s eyes). I wonder if the glue and now magnets used to attach these to the lashes might later pose some danger of infection or damage to the eye.
She got her eyes .....tatooed. I cringe whenever I see someone with massive tattoos, especially in sensitive areas, so I can’t even imagine having it done to my eyes.
Well, at least she won’t have to look at herself anymore.
I just wonder what thinking process might have led this poor thing to a conclusion it was a good idea.
Definition of a tatoo: Permanent evidence of temporary stupidity.
In her case it’s doubly so.
I am not convinced that “thought” was at all part of the process, in the first place.
There is some irony in this taking place in Poland. I believe there were some experiments in Nazi death camps (in Poland) to dye the eyes of non-Aryans blue. It didn’t go well back then either.
