Make sure it is quiet enough so the neighbors don’t hear it.

Gather some wood, buy charcoal and lighter fluid and fuel for the Coleman.

Right now, print out some simple cardboard and foil solar ovens instructions. I think the one I made is a cook-it pattern. It’ll cook up a pot of rice and more. Buy some foil, tape and get a toilet paper box for the cardboard. Read up on how to use it. It’s not so much the outside temperature but the sun’s rays. Or buy one.

You have a small water source in your canned goods. Don’t dump the liquid but use it.

I have a “rocket stove” along with solar and gas stoves. Rocket stove is really efficient. General type can be Googled.

I have a nice wood pile derived from cutting down 2 90 ft tall cottonwood trees. Sufficient to keep the house warm and cook. That's fallback for cooking on electric, then natural gas, then propane.

I live in Pocatello. N42 latitude. Solar isn't great here. It was very viable when I lived in San Diego at N32.

Saving the liquid in the canned goods is a good idea. As an Eagle Scout, I'm pretty well trained in getting along with the resources at hand. My wife is also an EMT. We're both ham radio ops.

Or you could just get a couple extra tanks of propane for your gas grill. Lol.
