I spent a couple days in New Jersey, across from New York City. Went on the train to a place 20 miles away.
Anything in NJ around NYC is not worth seeing. Further away, it gets better.
Terrible state for taxes and crime.
Ate a meal at an apparent crime lord pub. Everyone thought I was a Fed and kept asking me questions about why I was there.
They prided themselves on never having a computer or even a credit card processing machine. Cash only establishment. Looked as beat up and unkempt as an 1800s saloon in old western movies.
Thankfully, it was daytime, but for their whole hour, I was their only client.
Strange occasion to be one man dealing with those four men. Wanted to know everything about my family, where I grew up, why I was thereeven what hotel I was staying at and where I planned to eat that night.
Well, were you a Fed?
