Its the taxes, not the full serv gas. Before Gov. Ice Cream Cone decided to raise the gas tax, our gasoline tax was the second lowest in the nation, Alaska being the lowest and out of the lower 48, our gas was generally the cheapest in the nation. Low Gas tax, plus the refineries/distribution for the north east goes through NJ gave us incredibly low gas prices for decades. And that was with full serv gas
