Today’s Cryptogram

Posted on 02/13/2020 12:36:43 AM PST by nikos1121

Today’s CG is from The Arkansas Gazette.

CFB'K ORABC KEHA YALKEBX FB L TLVV, MFREBX KF KULBOPFUH EK EBKF L CFFU. ---WFWF WMLBAV

You can find this little fun word game, to combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers, in several daily publications.

The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).

Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated.

PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and any tips you might give the group on how you solve these puzzles as puzzle solvers love to hear how you made out.

You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram.

If you're just starting out on these, be patient, as you'll be proficient in no time.

If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hal’s Helper below:

You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.

I absolutely couldn’t solve it, had to give up! But I do have a million things to do today! Maybe my brain is too full! But I love trying to solve these.

Love your tagline! I have compared the last 3 or 4 years to Bizarro World so many times!
Early 1960s... I bought those comics all the time!
Wi$h I had kept them all $$$

The Bizarro World (also known as Htrae, which is “Earth” spelled backwards) is a fictional planet appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Introduced in the early 1960s, htraE is a cube-shaped planet, home to Bizarro and companions, all of whom were initially Bizarro versions of Superman, Lois Lane and their children and, later, other Bizarros including Batzarro, the World’s Worst Detective.

Us do opposite of all Earthly things! Us hate beauty! Us love ugliness! Is big crime to make anything perfect on Bizarro World!

Go back to it, and it will open up to you. I think a hint is to look at the author’s first name, and of course word #6.

When I’m strapped, I copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper...

The one a couple days ago about the Cats turning Grey, totally stumped me. Totally...

Surprisingly difficult, despite the contraction and many short words.

Most times, I have to keep coming back to have it slowly appear. Never got the cats either.
