I had one of those Mothers-in-Law. She could be really rude to me. My wife was afraid of her. Once she stood up for me and her Mother really went after her. Nothing physical but she had a black belt in tongue lashing.

My MIL has made me more determined than ever to bite my tongue and be kindness itself to my future daughters in law no matter how much I do or don’t like them.
