Imma gonna try to break all this shiz down for you, because the comments Im seeing on my Facebook feed are ignorant and annoying. And to be honest, I was already pretty annoyed today, and really not in the mood to write, and then I saw all these comments which made me actually have to go Google this show and spend 14 minutes of my life watching something I really have no interest in, because no offense whatsoever but Id probably rather read Rumi and listen to Indigo Girls or Everclear. But everyone was freaking out so much I thought certainly they must have engaged in something really horrific like child sacrifice or flag burning or some other very anti-American thing that would get everyones panties in such a damn twist. So, with much resignation, off I went on Google and clicked play.
Two beautiful, rich, powerful, bi-lingual, people of color took your beloved American football field and they owned it. They didnt try to be white. They didnt try to be tame and quiet and in their place on the sidelines. They got loud and proud right up in your face, and they did it with talent and power. They showed us what America truly is a paradox of beautiful people and children in cages; a place where radical difference can thrive regardless of the systems of racial, ethnic, and misogynistic systems that seek to oppress them; a place where, whether you are comfortable with it or not, is rich with diverse styles of dance, language, and yes, womens sexuality.
Meanwhile, while you promote your president who proudly claims he will grab womens private parts (rape and sexual assault) and parade into the dressing room of young women as they get dressed (pedophilia, anyone?)

The author takes her own opinions as facts and evidence to support her specious, dare I say racist, argument. She finds the outfits "tame," therefore it is not possible or legitimate to believe they were too racy.
Not to mention pole dancing. Yes, that's objectionable. It's overly sexual, especially for when kids are watching. It's not where it comes from or what its roots are -- it's a dance strippers do. Does this author think strippers are claiming their power? When women such as J-Lo imitate strippers, they are making themselves out to be nothing but sex objects, demeaning themselves, debasing the culture, and helping to sexualize kids. Is that what the author of this article wants?
Nobody objected to Chita Rivera or Nat King Cole or Bojangles or hundreds of others. One may or may not like their musical style, which is a matter of taste, but nobody claimed that what they did was offensive. Not enjoyable, maybe, but that, as I said, is one's personal taste. My music may not be your music. My dance may not be your dance.
I hate to disappoint her, but i actually do think cheerleader outfits are too skimpy, at least the current ones (such as in the picture.) TACKY. Cheerleaders have always worn short dresses, but there is such a thing as overexposure.
As to her reference to "kids in cages": Another hypocrite who pretends to care about that now, when Trump[ is president, but said not one word about it when Obama did it. (But then, every policy criticism of the Obama administration was deemed by this crowd to be racially motivated.)
Yes, the show objectified women, and yes, that is offensive.
Now, I'll admit that, like the author, I didn't see the show live, because I don't watch the NFL since the kneeling. I have served in the military, worn this country's uniform. Do not demean my flag and my anthem, and if you can't understand why this is offensive to millions, then don't even try to lecture the rest of us about how morally superior you are.
I have checked it out since all the controversy erupted. The show was TACKY. It was over-the-top. It was designed to offend millions, to throw the elite's rejection of their values and morals in their faces. All while posturing as #woke and #progressive and empowering and so morally superior. And yes, wealthy performers like J-Lo and Shakira are part of the elite.
This is what happens when you operate from the presumption that the people who disagree with you are EVIL and whatever views they express are illegitimate and dishonest. It leads you to assume that you can read people's (bad) motives. It leads you to assume that everything that comes from "those people" is racist, sexist, misogynist, "homophobic,"or bigoted in some other way (many of them made up.)
How about people like this writer try listening to people instead of ascribing motives (which are almost always wrong)? Oh, but that would violate the basic tenets of #woke #progressivism, of "compassion," "inclusion," and "tolerance." And we mustn't be seen doing any of that. Someone might think we're "those people." And "those people" aren't really people.
I thought half time was great. I went to Prime video and watched Car 54 Where Are You until the game started again.
My cat can twerk better than J-lo.
I was watching “Life, Liberty, and Levin” — a rerun of an old conversation with the great Dr. Walter E. Williams. Check it out Saturday.
Why? Why would you waste time reading the insane screeching of an idiot no one ever heard of?
And why would you bother to post it here at FR?
Lastly, why would you post this in News?
Your cat isn’t 50 years old.
One of my “woke” friends posted it on Facebook. This is what the other side really thinks.
Darn, missed the SB for yet another year? Hard to recall ever seeing a half time show when I try to remember watching the NFL some years back.
He is 14 so in human years" would he be older than J-lo?
I thought the halftime show was great. For a strip club.
Idiot host on our local sports radio station said “If you are complaining it’s because you’re a woman, and Shakira is 43, and J-Lo is 50, and you don’t look as good as they do and you’re jealous.”
Oooh! Ooooh! Don’t tell me. Let me guess.
I”m not “woke” enough? Is that it?
How about that I’m racis? Am I getting warm?
I’m closed minded?
A prude?
How about, I don’t even care?
They got loud and proud right up in your face,
= = =
Well, not quite.
Maybe loud, proud, but on the TV screen, many miles away.
And protected by layers of security.
So, not in my face.
However much they wanted it.
They got loud and proud right up in your face, and they did it with talent and power.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Guaranteeing the continued exploitation of young women who can now conclude that the ability to exhibit violent pelvic thrusts and sweat mired twirking is more important than studying math and physics.
How can young women be made to realize that attracting the opposite sex to convert themselves into plundered pussy at a young age is a good thing?
There is nothing to be loud and proud about, nothing talented and powerful that can’t be purchased from athletic hookers drug addicted just about anywhere in our country’s cities.
It also should be noted that these loud and proud ‘deus ex machinas’ did not stand for the national Anthem.
But they are touted as icons of virtue?
Hardly.
The left thinks we want all our daughters to grow up to become childless f**k machines. What a laugh.
The NFL needs to feel our displeasure.
“Imma gonna try to break all this shiz down for you...”
I stopped reading after this sentence.
I turned to Animal Planet and watched the Puppy Bowl. More interesting than the halftime “show” sponsored by the Mustang Ranch.
And the puppies were a darned sight cuter!
Your cat probably isn’t 50 years old either. Not that I’m defending her at all. I think it was pretty much just awful.
Point really is that 50 is past prime for twerking age if you’re into that kind of thing.
The author doesn’t know s**t about me.
If the author were to ask, I could explain the actual reason for my disgust at the halftime show, which has nothing to do with race or class or age, and everything to do with sexual morality.
I would have reacted the same way to the presentation ten, twenty, thirty, forty, or fifty years ago. (Sixty years ago I was in kindergarten and would have been too young to understand.) I would have reacted the same way if the presenters of the same show were white-as-possible Madonna and Katy Perry, or top K-pop females. I would have reacted the same way if all the performers were the adult children of Donald Trump.
I would have reacted the same way, because the issue is the glorification of sexual exploitation and sluttiness for the sake of selling a product, in this case the NFL. And if the wokers can’t see that, it is because they are blind useful idiots of the globalist elitist manipulators of the brave new world, and only those who see the world as it is can understand how they are being exploited and manipulated. But do not call me anything other than what I am, and think it will stick simply because you are somehow woker than I, for it does not stick.
Why in the world don’t the white families have more children. Would solve the whole problem.
