Washingtons Department of Transportation posted a series of photos on Twitter last week claiming a potential Sasquatch sighting near a highway at Sherman Pass.
A webcam placed by the department in the states remote northeastern corner captured a shadowy figure resembling what appears to be a person, or Bigfoot, or just a tree trunk with an oddly humanoid figure.
The following day, a crew of workers clearing snow in the area stopped by the cameras location to see if they could spot anything out of the ordinary. However, if a Sasquach had been there, it apparently made a fast get away before crews arrived.
Contrary to popular belief, it appears this Sasquach sighting may be explained by a simple mind trick.
See, a screenshot from the very same camera taken earlier in the month also reveals something Squatchy lurking in the same spot:
Tom Sherry ✔ @KREMTomSherry Sherman Pass in Northeast Washington has snow covered road. Be very careful traveling in mountains. More snow is on the way. #KREMweather
However, screenshots taken from over a year ago dont seem to show the same suspicious figure at the location:
So whats the deal?!
After receiving some backlash from naysayers online, the department stated there is much more to this story and they plan to reveal more details in the near future:
In other words, somebody knows something we dont, so well be checking back in the next few weeks to get the scoop.
Meanwhile, the person tasked with running the departments Twitter account for the highway at Snoqualmie Pass shared additional footage of a man trekking through some harsh weather conditions.
Or was it Sasquach?
Like we said, well be keeping an eye on this and will update you once the real story is revealed. Until then, lets hear your best guess as to what this could be possibly be.
Leave your guesses in the comment section below..
I think Bigfoot is making the rounds across our mountain passes. @wsdot_east showed him on Sherman Pass the other day and now he is on the wildlife overcrossing on I-90 just east of Snoqualmie Pass. #doyoubelieve
That’s a tree.
If you squint your eyes and chug a coupla more brews...yea I can see it.
Much ado, much nonsense about absolutely nothing. If you have ever been to North Cascades National Park, there are several places where a “sasquatch crossing” is, replete with “sasquatch footprints” painted on the road. Hogwash.
Yep.
The aliens told Bigfoot where all the cameras are so he can avoid them.
Seems to me shadow doesn’t match the figure. Shadows cast near the figure aren’t solid enough to be shadows of the figure.
Like a dog chasing a car. What the hell are you gonna do with it if you catch it.
I always thought it was some mountain guy with a bear or buffalo skin coat.
If its not eating your livestock, or dating your daughter, who cares.
It is a friggin’ tree.
I can tell of a story that happened around the Holy Hill area in Wisconsin. A county worker had just picked up a deer carcass and had it in the back of his truck. As he was filling out the paper work his truck shook and he saw a tall creature walking away with the deer slung over its shoulder.
Can’t be Sasquatch. The whole family signed a contract to appear exclusively for Purple Mattress and that beef jerky outfit. They moved to Hollywood.
Everyone knows there are no yetis left- a pack of wild chupacabras ate them all
Of course the whole ‘Sasquatch’ deal is totally bogus. Otherwise why have there never been any “Sasquatch’ skeletons found, or is it that humanoids (who have presumptively built civilizations) are not intelligent enough to discover them?
((I guess the other possibility would be that ‘Sasquatch’ don’t die.))
This is most certainly bogus, but I bet it still gets Michael Medved all juiced up!
“((I guess the other possibility would be that “Sasquatch’ don’t die.))”
Or, equally as plausible, they don’t have skeletons.
Speaking of bogus, yes MM.
Sasquatch in Washington has been a big deal since the 1920’s. There is an area in the foothills of Mount St. Helens called Ape Canyon. There are those who have tried to make it “Sasquatch Central” for years. I hiked St. Helens in the 1970’s (before the mountain blew its top) and toured the canyon after I learned of it. Pretty scenery but no ape men...
I guess everyone needs a hobby! Have at it!
Just Moochelle Obama on vacation again.
they’re playin with you. That’s the same tree trunk.
