When the President is acquitted of these two charges will double jeopardy be in effect here regarding the abuse of power charge specifically towards the Ukraine issue?

What, you think that the House will immediately go for another impeachment?

Vote the rats out of everything.

The House can go back and proceed to refill the charges, tweak things, and do this all over again. There is no such thing as ‘double jeopardy’ in impeachment.

No. Plus it doesn’t matter. The Constitution is nothing to these people. They will continue to whine and pee their beds and hold their breath until they turn blue. They are deathly afraid, and rightly so. Trump is eating their lunch and leaving them with nothing but shopping carts to push around, muttering incoherently.

There is no rule of law that will constrain Libs infected by TDR.

Because this is not a criminal proceeding, it is a political one. The House could pass a new article of impeachment every day for the remainder of his term and there is nothing to stop them.

He has not been charged with breaking any actual laws. They just don’t like his style.

The Constitution stipulates everything that is required in impeachment. Since the Constitution doesn’t mention double jeopardy, it would not apply to POTUS in an impeachment.

There is no doubt the House will pursue impeachment at least through 2020. And beyond, if the dems hold onto it.

However, I think they’ll try to be more creative. Find something else to impeach him for. The only way to stop them is for the Republicans to take back the House.

Is it that he wasn’t charged with an actual crime or because this is an impeachment?

They’ve already said they are working on other articles of impeachment. . . Why stop? They plan on continuing “The Resistance.”

If they do, their 25 seat loss in the House will become a 45 seat loss!
