American and Delta Airlines announced they are suspending flights to China in response to the deadly coronavirus outbreak which has killed more than 200 people.
American suspended all flights to China Friday through March 27, while Delta was to stop service next week.

They had better wash down the aircraft with bleach solution...................
Next Wednesday Delta?
This is classic media and government manipulation. The mortality rate for the corona virus is about 2%. The mortality rate for the common Flu is about 7%. If we don't shut down planes for the Flu which is 3.5x more deadly, why do it for the corona virus?
But flu
I don’t see United there. I guess they see a chance to cash in.
” The mortality rate for the common Flu is about 7%”
No, it is not.
Common flu is about 0.02%
If it was 7% that would be over 23 MILLION dying from the flu each year in the US
Mexico will probably be a hotbed of Coronavirus cases. I think the border rules should be temporarily tightened.
I think we are being too cavalier about this, I propose we suspend all flights to China for 50 years or until their Communist government is dissolved, which ever comes first...
Did you assume everyone in the US would get the flu?
Businesses who were sending reps to China should learn to use video chat. Saves a lot of money.
No. Mortality rate for a disease is measured as deaths over contractions.
Stopping flight.s...I think this virus is going to have a massive economic impact worldwide.
Upon what do base that opinion?
The Deep State always finds a way.
Wow....the response to this really makes me think that there’s a lot they are not saying about this. Has anything like cancelling flights to a major country for medical reasons ever happened?
you asked who was saying Wuhan virus would effect the world’s economy?
Google is your friend:
that discusses tourism in Japan is already affected, but it is a real problem for the Philippines too: we are stopping flights and sending folks back while bringing our workers home.
Even so, 7% is absurdly high. It's a fraction of a percent.
0.13
You’re correct, but the common flu takes out elderly and the very young. I think the current coronavirus has killed multiple prime age individuals.
